There is no overarching theme, it's a mess of underpowered cards.
Flim is basically giving a free point to the opponent

Rainbow Dash & Rarity Theme Deck

Blue / White, cards from Premiere
Strong Tempo focus + control
Rainbow Dash has a somewhat strong effect but will be tricky to flip, Rarity is hard to flip with this deck but would be fine elsewhere
Decent troublemakers

Pinkie Pie & Fluttershy Two Player Theme Deck - Pinkie Pie

Pink / White, cards from Premiere
Strong Card Advantage focus + control
Good card synergy, problems provide some deck manipulation
Flim is basically giving a free point to the opponent

Pinkie Pie & Fluttershy Two Player Theme Deck - Fluttershy

Yellow / Orange, cards from Premiere
Strong Mane character
Cards don't seem to have a consistent theme outside of yellow friends being all critters

White / Yellow, cards from Premiere/Canterlot Nights
A mix of tempo and control
Some problems are a tricky to deal with, troublemakers are a one-trick pony (heh)
Eagle, Soaring Raptor

Princess Luna & Rainbow Dash Theme Deck

Blue / Purple, cards from Premiere/Canterlot Nights
A mix of ramp and tempo
Princess Luna can be pretty strong if you can stack your hand properly
Some weak removal helps in tricky spots

Rock N Rave

Rock N Rave Two Player Theme Deck - DJ Pon-3/Luna

Pink / Purple, mostly cards from Premiere/Canterlot Nights
Cares about card advantage (e.g. DJ Pon-3 flip condition)
Pink cards provides weak friend removal and card draw while Purple inflates faceoff power.
Problems provide some slowdowns and deck manipulation
Troublemakers will at most slow down

Rock N Rave Two Player Theme Deck - Maud / Rarity

Orange / White, mostly cards from Premiere/Canterlot Nights
Ramp with some control and discard retrieval
Orange and White cards both tend to ramp but some white cards let you get cards back from the discard pile.
Has some amount of control-centric cards (banishing, exhausting)
Octavia, Sweet Symphony
Troublemakers are bad

Both manes take a long time to flip
Strong power/combat focus with combat tricks and faceoff matter cards
Both white and pink events are light control
Really strong pink problems

Both manes take a long time to flip
Strong ramp focus
Problems have a tempo theme
MANY troublemakers (and really good too)
